This weekend

Elon and Anthropic are giving away shares.

Elon: one SpaceX share for every kid in America.
Anthropic: 5% of the whole company, for "the public good".

So how much do you get? 3 taps.

Where do you live?

How old are you?

Your cut, today
$0

OK. But what about the future?

If AI ends up doing everyone's jobs, maybe AI should pay everyone. Like a dividend.

In 10 years, how big is AI?

Your AI dividend
$0
per month, forever

Wait, is this real?

The pledges are real; the dividend is a what-if. Elon posted on 19 Oct: "Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America." One share closed at $146.03 on Fri 16 Oct. Details aren't out yet (Axios). Anthropic plans to put 5% of its shares into a company-run Public Benefit Fund, subject to stockholder approval. It might fund charities or "direct distributions to specific populations", but nobody has been promised a payment (AP).

The dividend math: yearly AI profit Γ— the public's share Γ· people (340M Americans or 8.2B humans) Γ· 12. It assumes every cent gets paid out. Not a forecast, not financial advice, not affiliated with anyone. Nothing you tap is stored.
